The Houthi group in Yemen has claimed that it targeted the Saudi oil tanker NCC GHAZAL with ballistic missiles, forcing the vessel to turn back.

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree stated on X (formerly Twitter) that the tanker had ignored repeated warnings before being targeted with multiple ballistic missiles.

The Houthi group has imposed a maritime navigation ban on Saudi Arabia since July 20, citing a blockade by Saudi forces in areas under their control in Yemen.
