Houthis Claim Ballistic Missile Strike on Saudi Oil Tanker

The Houthi group in Yemen has claimed to have struck a Saudi oil tanker, Wafaa, with several ballistic missiles in the northern Red Sea. According to Yahya Saree, the group's military spokesperson, the attack was part of their maritime blockade strategy, which they call 'blockade for blockade.'

The Houthi group has been targeting Saudi oil tankers since July 22, with this being the eighth such incident. Saree stated that 29 Saudi oil tankers have either been prevented from passing through the Red Sea and Arabian Sea or forced to turn back due to their efforts.

Saree vowed that the group would continue and intensify attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the northern Red Sea, regardless of the consequences. The Saudi authorities have not commented on the claims yet.
