Houthis Claim Missile Attack on Saudi Oil Tanker in Red Sea
The Houthi group in Yemen claimed responsibility for launching a ballistic missile attack on a Saudi oil tanker, Wafa, off the coast of Yanbu, a major Saudi Red Sea port city. According to Yahya Sarea, Houthi military spokesperson, the strike was precise and part of their maritime campaign against Saudi-linked shipping.
The group described this operation as a 'blockade-for-blockade' response. This attack raises the number of Saudi oil tankers targeted by Houthi forces since the start of the campaign to eight, while an additional 29 tankers had been forced to reverse course.
