Houthis Claim New Attacks on Saudi Arabia as Conflict Escalates

The Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed new attacks on neighboring Saudi Arabia. The Houthis targeted a military base in Sharurah province, according to Brigadier General Yahya Saree.

The Saudi Civil Defense reported that a projectile fell in the al-Tawwal governorate near the border with Yemen, injuring two people and damaging several buildings.

The Houthis' advance has put them closer to a US base in Djibouti and has alarmed markets, leading to increased oil prices. The National Resistance, a government-allied force, vowed to fight back against the Houthis, who have been backed by Iran for 12 years.
