Houthis Claim Precision Attack on Saudi Aramco Refinery Facility
The Houthis have claimed to have attacked a refinery of Saudi oil giant Aramco in Jazan, south-western Saudi Arabia, on Sunday. The attack was said to be a 'precise hit' by Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree, who stated it was in response to the 'Saudi enemy's violation' of Yemeni airspace.
The Saudi Ministry of Energy reported that firefighting teams had extinguished a blaze at an Aramco refinery facility in Jazan without any casualties. However, they did not specify the cause of the fire.
Tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia have escalated recently, with both sides targeting each other's assets and personnel. The Houthis have also launched attacks on Saudi vessels in the Red Sea, forcing them to change course.
