Houthis Claim Responsibility for Drone Attack on Saudi Aramco Refinery

The Houthis have claimed responsibility for a drone attack on Saudi Aramco's Jazan refinery in southwestern Saudi Arabia, near the border with Yemen. The refinery processes 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day and produces gasoline and ultra-light sulphur diesel.

The Saudi energy ministry reported a fire at the refinery but stated that no injuries were reported and that the fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire is not specified in the ministry's statement.

This attack comes just two days after Saudi Arabia signed a defense pact with Turkey and Pakistan, which aims to strengthen collective deterrence against aggression.
