Houthis Claim Responsibility for Drone Attacks on Saudi Oil Supply Lines
The Houthi military group in Yemen claimed responsibility for drone attacks on Saudi Arabia's oil supply lines, citing the kingdom's alleged dispatch of drones that violated Yemeni airspace as a reason.
Saudi Arabia's defense ministry countered that it had intercepted and destroyed several drones launched from Iraqi territory by Iran-aligned militias, which attempted to target oil facilities in the Eastern Province and Riyadh.
The Saudi foreign ministry condemned the attacks and urged the Iraqi government to take measures to prevent its territory being used as a launchpad for aggression.
