Houthis Claim Responsibility for Saudi Oil Tanker Attack

The Houthi movement in Yemen has claimed responsibility for attacking a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea, according to their military spokesperson. The group stated that they struck the vessel Wafaa near the port of Yanbu using ballistic missiles, claiming a 'precise hit.'

This announcement follows Tuesday's declaration by the Houthis that they had attacked a 'sensitive target' inside Najran airport in southern Saudi Arabia.

The Yemeni government earlier accused the Houthis of being behind an attack on an Indian vessel in the Red Sea using an explosive-laden boat. India confirmed that the ship was hit and capsized off Yemen's coast, but all 14 crew members survived after being rescued by Yemeni coast guards and taken to the port of Mokha.
