The Iran-aligned Houthis in Yemen have claimed responsibility for a missile attack on a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea. The incident occurred off the coast of the kingdom's port city of Yanbu, but the exact date of the attack was not provided by Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree.

Saudi officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the matter. The Houthis have been involved in ongoing conflict with Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen since 2015.
