Houthis Claim Strike on Saudi Oil Tanker with Ballistic Missiles
The Houthi group in Yemen claimed that it struck a Saudi oil tanker with several ballistic missiles in the northern Red Sea off the coast of Yanbu. The group's military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, said that the attack was part of their maritime blockade strategy and aimed to block access routes for Saudi oil tankers.
The attack on the Wafaa tanker brings the total number of Saudi oil tankers targeted by the Houthi group since July 22 to eight. The spokesperson also claimed that 29 Saudi oil tankers had either been prevented from passing through the Red Sea and Arabian Sea or forced to turn back.
