Houthis Escalate Attacks on Saudi Oil Infrastructure
The Houthis have escalated their attacks on Saudi Arabia, disrupting oil supply routes and testing Saudi defenses. According to the Houthis, they launched dozens of missiles and drones at a military air base in Khamis Mushait in southern Saudi Arabia.
The attack targeted aircraft hangars, radar systems, runways, and ammunition depots. The Saudi-led coalition reported that 13 civilians were injured in the attacks.
The Houthis have also expanded their control along Yemen's western coast on the Red Sea, seizing Perim Island near the entrance to the Red Sea. This has increased pressure on Saudi oil exports following an aerial attack on the East-West pipeline.
