Houthis Fire Missiles at Saudi Arabia Amid Escalating Tensions
The Houthi rebels in Yemen fired missiles and drones at Saudi Arabia in response to airstrikes on the city of Hodeida, escalating tensions over vital shipping routes in the Middle East.
Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, the Houthi's military spokesperson, said the attack targeted facilities in Yanbu and Jizan that belong to Aramco, the world's largest oil company.
The Houthis have threatened to close the Bab el-Mandeb Strait to Saudi-linked shipping unless the kingdom ends its blockade on Yemen and lifts its recent attack on the international airport in Sanaa.
