Houthis Launch Attacks on Saudi Oil Facilities from Iraqi Territory

Gulf officials say the Houthis, not Iran, were behind the recent attacks on Saudi oil facilities launched from Iraq. The officials claim that the Houthi attacks were coordinated with pro-Iranian militias and terrorists affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The attacks targeted oil facilities in Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province, which houses the kingdom's main crude oil hub. The Houthis have reportedly admitted to launching the attacks from Iraqi territory with assistance from militias.

Farea al-Muslimi, a researcher at Chatham House, noted that there is now direct training and coordination between Houthi members themselves, rather than just between them and Iran.
