Yemen's Houthi rebels launched a major operation against Saudi Arabia, setting fire to oil facilities and injuring over 70 people. The Iran-backed Houthis targeted four cities in Saudi Arabia, including Abha, Najran, Khamis Mushait, and Jazan, deploying drones and missiles in the attacks.

The Saudi state oil company's facilities were hit in nearby Abha and Najran, while a major refinery and power plant in Jazan were also targeted. The Houthi rebels released pictures showing thick smoke and explosions of what they said were trucks from Saudi Arabia that they had hit in separate strikes at the border on Monday.

Saudi authorities confirmed that women and children were among the 73 people hurt in the attacks, while NASA satellite images showed a thick cloud of black smoke over the Jazan refinery and a column of white smoke rising from an oil distribution centre in Abha.
