Houthis Launch Drone Attack on Saudi Aramco Refinery in Jazan
The Houthi group in Yemen claimed responsibility for a drone attack on a Saudi Aramco refinery in Jazan, escalating tensions between the two sides. The refinery processes 400,000 barrels of crude oil per day and produces refined products including gasoline and ultra-light sulfur diesel.
The Saudi Energy Ministry reported that a fire broke out at the refinery around dawn but was quickly extinguished by firefighting teams. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Aramco's industrial security teams brought the fire under control, and relevant authorities are completing procedures to deal with the incident.
