The Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed responsibility for a drone attack targeting Saudi Aramco's oil refinery in Jizan. According to Houthi media, the attack was carried out in response to alleged airspace violations in Yemen's Saada and Hajjah provinces.

Houthi news agency Saba cited a military source stating that several drones were used in the attack. However, there have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties resulting from the alleged attack.

The reported strike comes as the Houthis have intensified attacks against Saudi Arabia and announced a maritime blockade. Saudi Arabia has long supported Yemen's internationally recognized government and has previously conducted military operations against Houthi positions.
