The Houthi rebels in Yemen have escalated their attacks on Saudi oil giant Aramco with a fresh drone strike in Najran, according to reports. The attack targeted an Aramco facility, which is part of the ongoing conflict between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia.

The Houthis had previously threatened to blockade Saudi oil flows as part of their conflict since seizing Sanaa in 2014. In July, they said they would seek to block Saudi oil exports in response to what they described as a Saudi blockade of Yemeni territory.

The latest attack is the second reported strike on an Aramco facility in less than a week, with the group claiming that it targeted the refinery due to Saudi violations of Yemen's airspace and sovereignty. The Houthis have claimed sporadic attacks on Saudi energy facilities and tankers since seizing Sanaa.

The tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia continue to rise, with both sides accusing each other of violating their sovereignty. The conflict has resulted in a blockade of Yemeni territory, which the Houthis say is a Saudi attempt to strangle their economy.
