Houthis Launch Major Attacks on Saudi Oil Facilities, Wounding Dozens
On Tuesday, Houthi rebels launched a series of attacks on Saudi oil facilities and an airbase in southern Saudi Arabia. The strikes, which included drones and missiles, wounded 73 people, including women and children.
The Saudi Energy Ministry said operations at the affected facilities were temporarily suspended due to the blazes caused by the attacks.
Major General Turki Al-Maliki, spokesperson for the Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen, described the strikes as hitting 'civilian and economic facilities' in Abha, Jazan, Najran, and Khamis Mushait.
The Houthis claimed their operation was a response to more than 100 Saudi airstrikes in Yemen over the past three days that they said had killed many people. The Houthi military fired 'dozens of ballistic missiles and drones' as part of the attack.
