The war in Yemen has escalated as the Houthi rebel group launched missiles and drones at two Saudi Aramco oil facilities on Saturday, retaliating for a Saudi airstrike on their port of Hodeidah the day before.

The Houthis have been fighting a Saudi-led coalition since 2014, when they seized Yemen's capital. The conflict has cost hundreds of thousands of lives and displaced millions.

US President Donald Trump threatened major military punishment for the Houthis if their attacks on Saudi vessels continued, but it is unclear what US action would look like. Operation Rough Rider, a previous bombing campaign against the Houthis, cost over $1 billion.
