Houthis Launch Surprise Attack on Aramco Refinery and Red Sea Port
The Iran-backed Houthi terrorist group launched a surprise attack on an Aramco oil refinery in Saudi Arabia and a critical Red Sea port on Sunday, killing at least seven people. The attack was claimed by Yahya Saree, a military spokesperson for the Houthi group, as retaliation for a recent Saudi drone strike in Houthi-controlled provinces.
A fire broke out at the Aramco refinery in Jazan after it was struck by a Houthi drone, according to officials. The Saudi Ministry of Energy stated that no one was injured and that authorities were completing procedures to deal with the incident.
The strike on the refinery coincided with a Houthi missile and drone attack on the Red Sea port of Mokha, which is controlled by the Saudi-backed Yemen government. The attack killed four troops and three civilians, with 15 others injured in the blasts.
