Houthis Seize Key Yemen Airfield, Threaten Oil Exports
Yemen's Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have made significant gains in recent days. On Thursday, they seized control of Mokha airport, a key port city. In response, Saudi Arabia launched airstrikes against the airport.
The Houthis also captured a strategic island near the Bab el-Mandeb Strait at the entrance to the Red Sea. This advance threatens Saudi oil exports through one of the world's most important commercial lanes.
