Houthis Spark All-Out War Fears with Wave of Saudi Attacks
Houthi rebels in Yemen have launched a wave of missile and drone attacks against Saudi Arabia, sparking fears of all-out war between the two nations. The strikes, which took place on Tuesday, targeted four Saudi cities and injured over 70 people, including women and children.
The Houthi rebel group accused Saudi Arabia of targeting a Yemeni prison in Jawf province, killing at least 17 people and wounding around seven others. In response, the Houthis vowed to meet any aggression with a firm response.
Saudi military officials said that the Houthis had targeted critical civilian and military infrastructure, including oil facilities connected to the Bab el-Mandeb strait, a logistics hub on the Red Sea coast, and King Khalid Air Base. The strikes have raised concerns about the potential for renewed fighting in Yemen.
