Houthis Strike Aramco Refinery in Red Sea as Tensions Escalate

The Iran-aligned Houthi rebels in Yemen have claimed responsibility for a drone strike on a refinery operated by Saudi state oil giant Aramco on the Red Sea coast.

The attack, which was carried out using two drones, targeted an Aramco refinery in the Jizan region and was described as 'a precision strike' by a Houthi source.

The rebels claimed that the attack was retaliation for Saudi violations of Yemeni airspace and sovereignty, specifically in Saada and Hajjah.

This is the latest escalation in tensions between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, which have been at odds over control of Yemen's airspace and maritime routes.
