Houthis Strike Saudi Arabia in Retaliation for Recent Attacks on Yemen
The Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen have launched two military operations against Saudi Arabia in retaliation for recent Saudi attacks on Hodeida, Yemen. The Houthis targeted sensitive facilities affiliated with Aramco, the Saudi Arabian state-owned oil company, with dozens of ballistic missiles and drones.
The first operation struck at Jizan, while the second hit Yanbu. According to Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the Houthi spokesperson, both operations were successful thanks to Allah Almighty, with accurate and direct strikes.
The Saudi-led coalition in Yemen claims that the attacks were intercepted by air defense systems operated by Greek military units. The Houthis have accused the Saudis of striking civilian facilities in Hodeida and Kamaran Island, calling it a 'dangerous escalation'.
