Houthis Strike Saudi Energy Facilities, Wounding Dozens and Sending Oil Prices Soaring

Houthi attacks on Saudi energy facilities have halted operations at several sites and wounded 73 people, according to the Saudi energy ministry. The attacks also caused fires at the facilities.

The Houthi military spokesperson announced a broad offensive against Saudi Arabia's oil giant Aramco, targeting facilities in Abha, Najran, Jizan, and an air base in Khamis Mushait with ballistic missiles and drones.

Saudi authorities condemned the escalation as 'dangerous' and vowed to respond firmly. Brent crude futures rose $1 to $98 a barrel after the Saudi energy ministry statement, while U.S. crude futures rose over $2 to $93.65 a barrel.
