Houthis Strike Saudi Oil Facilities Amid Strait of Hormuz Tensions

The Houthi rebels in Yemen have fired missiles and drones at Saudi Arabia in response to airstrikes on the strategic Red Sea city of Hodeida. Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the Houthis' military spokesman, said that the attack targeted facilities in the Red Sea cities of Yanbu and Jizan owned by Aramco, the world's largest oil company.

The Saudi civil defense reported multiple alerts sounding in both cities on Saturday morning. However, Saudi Arabia has not commented further on the matter.

This escalation comes as tension remains high following a recent conflict between the United States and Iran over control of the Strait of Hormuz.
