The Iran-aligned Houthi militants in Yemen fired on Saudi oil installations at two ports on the Red Sea coast, targeting sites belonging to Aramco. The attacks on Jizan and Yanbu led to a large column of smoke rising from the direction of the Aramco refinery in Jizan.

According to Asia-based trading sources, there was potential damage to fuel and oil storage sites at Jizan. However, Aramco did not respond to requests for comment on the incidents.

The Houthi military spokesperson, Yahya Saree, confirmed that the group had successfully struck Saudi state oil giant Aramco's sites in Jizan and Yanbu.
