Houthis Strike Saudi Oil Sites, Spiking Oil Prices to Near $100
Hostilities in the Middle East have escalated further, pushing the price of oil to nearly $100 per barrel. The Houthi militia in Yemen has launched a series of attacks on Saudi energy infrastructure, resulting in 73 civilian injuries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemned the attacks and warned against their consequences. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that the US is closely tracking developments and stated that 'some of this is clearly the Iranian hand.'
Houthi military spokesperson Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree vowed to continue operations in Saudi territory, targeting its military and retaliating with a siege until the aggression stops.
