Houthis Strike Saudi Oil Tanker, Launch Military Operations in Eastern Yemen

The Houthi movement in Yemen has announced a strike on a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea, causing a fire onboard. The group's military spokesman, Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree, stated that the attack was carried out with a ballistic missile and is part of the enforcement of a ban on Saudi maritime navigation.

The operation targeted the 'Amzan' oil tanker north of Yanbu in the Red Sea, according to Saree's statement broadcast by Al-Masirah TV. The Houthi forces also launched two separate operations in Hadramout province, eastern Yemen, targeting a large military convoy and troop gatherings.

The first operation destroyed more than 10 trucks loaded with weapons using ballistic missiles and drones. The second operation struck troop gatherings on the border between Marib and al-Jawf provinces, killing and wounding dozens, including commanders, and destroying weapons depots.
