Houthis Target Saudi Oil Tanker in Red Sea
The Houthi rebels in Yemen have targeted a Saudi oil tanker in the Red Sea as part of their 'siege for siege' operation. The Amzan vessel was attacked with ballistic missiles and drones, according to Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the Houthi rebels. This is the latest escalation in the conflict between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia.
The Houthis have also claimed attacks on Saudi military convoys carrying equipment to Yemeni government forces. The group has pledged to hit troop concentrations and weapons depots anywhere they are found in the region.
Oil prices may be affected by the escalating tensions, but so far, there is no indication of a significant impact on crude oil markets.
