The Hyperliquid Policy Center (HPC) and TradeXYZ have submitted a joint comment letter to the CFTC, urging them to approve energy perpetual futures on U.S. regulated markets.

The proposed framework would allow for perpetual futures on energy commodities like crude oil and natural gas, which are currently not available in the U.S. under the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA) framework.

HPC cited data from TradeXYZ's operations, which recorded over $500 billion in cumulative trading volume across energy markets since launching in October 2025.
