Idaho Gas Prices Soar Amid Iran-US Tensions

The ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States is affecting oil prices, leading to more expensive gasoline in Idaho. The state now ranks 12th in the nation for the highest gas prices.

Matt Conde, Public & Government Affairs Director of AAA Oregon/Idaho, said international politics are impacting fuel prices, with some regions paying more than others due to distribution network limitations.

Average gas prices in Idaho have increased by 75 cents compared to last year, with crude oil costs making up about 50% of the price of gasoline. Conde warned that oil prices will remain volatile as tensions in the Middle East continue.
