IEA Trims Oil Demand Forecast Amid Middle East Disruptions

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has reduced its forecast for global oil demand in 2026 due to disruptions in the Middle East, according to a report from Petromindo.

The IEA previously estimated that global oil demand would reach around 102 million barrels per day by 2026, but now expects it to be lower at 101.4 million barrels per day.

This adjustment is largely attributed to ongoing supply chain disruptions in the Middle East, which have led to a decrease in crude oil exports from major producers such as Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
