Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has increased compressed natural gas (CNG) prices by Rs 3.89 per kg across Delhi-NCR due to a sharp rise in liquefied natural gas (LNG) costs.

The price hike, which is effective from Saturday, August 29th, sees CNG now costing Rs 86.98 per kg in Delhi.

Prices have also been raised in other areas of the NCR region: to Rs 95.59 per kg in Noida and Ghaziabad, Rs 95.47 per kg in Meerut, and Rs 92.01 per kg in Gurugram.

This is the fifth CNG price hike by IGL this year, with the previous increase being in May when prices were raised by a cumulative Rs 6 per kg in four phases over 10 days due to global energy price increases amid the West Asia conflict.
