India's External Affairs Ministry has condemned recent attacks by the Iran-backed Houthi militant group on Saudi oil facilities. The strikes targeted not only oil installations but also civilian infrastructure, sparking concerns about further escalation in the West Asia conflict.

The Houthi group has been operating from Yemen and has carried out a series of attacks on Saudi targets amid rising tensions between the US and Iran. The latest wave of attacks comes as the US ramps up economic sanctions against Iran.

India's External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that such attacks 'undermined regional security and stability' and threatened freedom of navigation in the Bab-el-Mandeb. He emphasized that India condemns the targeting of civilian and economic facilities on Saudi sovereign territory, calling it 'unacceptable'.
