India Ensures Uninterrupted Energy Supply Amid West Asia Tensions
India's government has taken proactive steps to ensure an uninterrupted energy supply amid rising tensions in West Asia. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas reported that all refineries are operating at full capacity with adequate crude inventories, while domestic production of LPG has increased by about 40 percent.
The Ministry emphasized that no fuel shortages have been reported, advising citizens against panic buying. Strict enforcement action is underway, with thousands of raids conducted across the country to curb hoarding and black marketing.
Priority supplies are being maintained for households and transport in the natural gas sector, while industrial consumption is being regulated. City Gas Distribution companies are promoting PNG connections to reduce dependence on LPG.
