India Gold Price Crash: Futures Prices Plummet Across Indian Cities
Gold prices have dropped significantly in India, leaving many unsure about when to buy. According to data from the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the futures price for 24-carat gold has fallen by 0.93% to ₹1,50,925 per 10 grams as of September 11, 2026. This is a drop of ₹1,416 compared to its market close yesterday.
In the international market, the price of gold stood at $4,359.70 per ounce. Silver prices have also plummeted, falling by 1.39% to ₹2,30,856 per kilogram on the MCX. This means silver has become cheaper by up to ₹2,994.
The gold rates in various cities across India are as follows: Delhi - 24-Carat Gold (10g) - ₹155,660, 22-Carat Gold (10g) - ₹142,700; Mumbai - 24-Carat Gold (10g) - ₹155,510, 22-Carat Gold (10g) - ₹142,550.
