India Gold Price Dips as Silver Soars Amid Global Market Volatility
Gold prices in India dropped by Rs 158 to Rs 1,41,465 per 10 grams on Wednesday due to weak spot demand. The Multi Commodity Exchange saw a decline of 0.11% in the gold contract for August delivery. This fall in precious metal prices was largely attributed to a decrease in demand.
Globally, gold futures were trading flat at $4,031.22 per ounce in New York. In contrast, silver prices rose 0.69% to Rs 2.17 lakh per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange, with a business turnover of 874 lots.
The 24-karat gold rate today is Rs 1,42,650 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold rate today is Rs 1,30,763 per 10 grams. The silver market saw an increase due to fresh positions being taken by participants.
