India Gold Prices Hold Near Record Highs Amid Volatile Markets
Gold prices continued to hold near record highs in India as local and global markets remained volatile. In Chandni Chowk, bullion traders sat behind metal counters watching spot charts tick down. Unlike previous peak retail buying periods, small batches of jewelers were cautiously clearing orders while individual buyers weighed domestic prices.
Ramesh Jain, a wholesale trader operating out of the old city, stated that 'retail buyers are strictly buying on need right now.' When gold prices sit above ₹1.4 lakh for ten grams, people prefer to wait for two consecutive red sessions before making heavy commitments.
Market analysts expect precious metals to remain range-bound through the week with safe-haven interest providing a solid floor even as short-term profit-booking triggers minor corrections.
