India Gold Prices Plummet as Profit-Booking Takes Over
Gold prices in India fell on Friday after Thursday's sharp rebound, marking a pullback of close to 1.7% across purities.
The national 24 karat gold rate (99.9% purity) dropped to ₹1,52,890 per 10 grams, while 22 karat gold slipped to ₹1,40,150 per 10 grams and 18 karat gold eased to ₹1,14,670 per 10 grams in most cities.
The decline was largely attributed to profit-booking after Thursday's outsized rally, with investors choosing to lock in gains rather than chase prices higher.
