Gold prices in India continued their upward trend on August 23, with 24K gold remaining above ₹1.63 lakh per 10 grams. This comes after a sharp rally during the previous week, where spot gold gained more than 5% and crossed $4,600 per ounce.

The weaker US dollar and lower Treasury yields are supporting the precious metal's price, while uncertainty surrounding the global economic and geopolitical outlook is keeping demand for safe-haven assets firm.

According to Reuters, gold prices have reached a three-month high, with spot gold climbing 2.4% to $4,623.94 per ounce on Friday.
