India Introduces New Rules for LPG Cylinder Bookings and Terminations
The Indian government has introduced new rules for LPG cylinder bookings and terminations. The 25-day rule applies to urban area customers, while the 45-day rule is applicable for rural area customers. This means that the next LPG refill can be made only after 25 days for urban customers and 45 days for rural customers from the previous refill delivery or first LPG booking.
The 30-day termination rule was imposed in late May, requiring LPG customers to terminate their Indane, Bharat Gas, and HP Gas connections within 30 days of getting a PNG (Piped Natural Gas) connection. Customers are allowed to restore their LPG connection using a transfer voucher for future use.
Citizens must be aware of these interval days for seamless booking or termination of Indane Gas, HP Gas, and Bharat Gas cylinders. The documents required for new connections include KYC application forms, identity proofs, address proofs, passport-size photographs, and bank account details. Customers can apply online through the official portals of IndianOil LPG, BPCL, and HPCL, or offline at the distributor's office.
