The Indian government has lifted its ban on wheat exports with immediate effect. This decision comes after allowing limited shipments in February.
According to notifications from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, the export policy for wheat has been revised from 'prohibited' to 'free', effective immediately.
The move also allows exports of wheat flour and other products such as maida and semolina.
