India Lifts Wheat Export Ban with Immediate Effect

The Indian government has lifted its export ban on wheat and related products, effective immediately. This decision follows limited shipments allowed in February. The revised policy for wheat exports has been changed from prohibited to free.

The move allows for the export of wheat flour and other products such as maida and semolina. These products were previously restricted under the export ban.

According to notifications from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, the change in policy is aimed at reviving exports of these essential commodities.
