India Lifts Wheat Export Restrictions Amid Global Shortages

India has lifted restrictions on wheat exports after imposing limitations in 2022, according to recent announcements. The decision is expected to help alleviate global supply shortages caused by the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The Indian authorities had halted wheat exports in July 2022, partially resuming them earlier this year with a limit of five million tons per year. Now, India will allow exports of wheat, flour, and other related products.
