India, Mauritius Sign Oil and Gas Cooperation Deal

India and Mauritius have strengthened their energy partnership by exchanging a Government-to-Government Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on oil and gas cooperation. This move is aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation in energy security and transition.

Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri met with Prime Minister Navinchandra Ramgoolam to discuss ways to deepen the energy sector's cooperation between the two countries. During the meeting, Puri emphasized India's commitment to supporting Mauritius' energy security and transition.

As part of the agreements, IndianOil will meet Mauritius' requirements for petrol, diesel, marine gas oil, and Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF). The agreements are expected to provide long-term supply certainty and protection against price volatility, strengthening Mauritius' energy security.
