India Natural Gas Gains on US LNG Export Boost
Natural gas prices in India rose by 0.75% to settle at ₹255.6, buoyed by increased flows to liquefied natural gas export plants and stronger weather-driven demand forecasts.
The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) expects mostly above-normal temperatures through August 21, which could boost power-sector gas consumption.
However, bearish storage data and continued strong domestic production capped the upside in natural gas prices.
In the US, energy firms added 33 billion cubic feet of natural gas to storage during the week ended July 31, exceeding market expectations and the five-year average injection of 23 bcf.
