India Sells Up to 6% Stake in Hindustan Copper at Discounted Price
The Government of India has launched an Offer for Sale (OFS) to divest up to 6% of its equity stake in Hindustan Copper Limited, a state-owned miner. The sale aims to raise approximately ₹3,000 crore through this transaction.
The floor price is set at ₹514 per share, which is a discount of over 10% compared to the stock's closing price of ₹573.55 on August 24, 2026. This offer includes a base size of 3% equity with an additional 3% green-shoe option available if investor demand exceeds the base size.
Hindustan Copper holds a unique position in the Indian market as the only entity engaged in copper ore mining, possessing all operating copper ore mining leases in the country. The company manages mining operations across key locations and operates smelter and refinery infrastructure.
