India vs Brazil Tickets Sell Out Within Minutes as Kolkata FIFA Friendly Sees Historic Demand
Tickets for India's first-ever senior men's international match against Brazil went on sale on Wednesday, September 2, at 4:00 pm IST and quickly sold out within 20 minutes. The highly anticipated FIFA friendly match is scheduled to take place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata with a kick-off time of 7:00 PM IST.
The fixture marks a historic moment for both teams, as it will be Brazil's first-ever match in India. The five-time world champions are currently ranked fifth globally, while India is ranked 138th. A capacity crowd of over 85,000 is expected at the Salt Lake Stadium, and Sony Sports Network will broadcast and stream all three India friendlies.
According to official ticketing partner District by Zomato, sales are live on their app and website. Face values for tickets range from ₹999 to ₹15,000, with non-premium seats in the ₹1,000-₹5,000 band moving quickly. Premium blocks between ₹10,000 and ₹15,000 were also in high demand.
Kolkata has hosted international football stars such as Pele and Lionel Messi before, but this will be the first time a Brazil senior side has played on Indian soil. India's head coach Khalid Jamil views this match as a rare home examination against elite opposition.
