Indian Bullion Prices Soar Amid Geopolitical Tensions
Gold and silver prices are on the rise in India due to ongoing geopolitical tensions and anticipation of future US monetary policy. According to market analysts, gold could reach ₹1.57 lakh per 10 grams, while silver is being tracked for a potential move toward ₹2.54 lakh per kilogram. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures recently settled near the ₹1.54 lakh mark for October delivery, following a strong month with a rise of approximately 9.5%. Silver futures have also mirrored this positive trend.
The current momentum is largely driven by developments in the Middle East, where geopolitical instability often increases demand for gold as investors turn to it as a store of value during uncertain times. Additionally, the market is awaiting the release of the minutes from the Federal Reserve's recent meeting, which are expected to provide clues about the central bank's stance on interest rates.
Despite the positive sentiment, market analysts suggest that investors should be prepared for a period of consolidation due to the rapid price increase seen in recent weeks. This sharp gain has historically led to profit-booking, where investors sell part of their holdings to lock in gains after a quick rally.
